I think this is *better* but I still don’t like it. My objections:
- The “gold” on the belt and bodice and the red stars look cheap and toy-like. It’d be less so if they’d go with a plainer belt
- Where a strapless bustier is iconic for this character, in the “real world” It just looks like the first time she raises her arms up her Amazonian twins are going to pop out. Even just simple shoulder straps would make more sense.
- There are other takes on Wonder Woman they could have drawn on; the eagle armor, the Greek-style battle gear… but they chose not to, and I think this speaks to their general cluelessness about the character
- While she is a lovely young lady, Padlicki’s body does not say “athlete” to me. Diana should be, well, pretty freakin’ ripped.
The dark, non-latex-looking pants with the red boots do make the whole thing a bit more agreeable. But it’s a far cry from what I think Diana should look like.
